Route Description: Journey to the Summit

The Mera Peak climb is a gradual ascent, making it an excellent choice for those new to high-altitude mountaineering. Here's a brief overview of the route:

Lukla to Khare:

Loben Expedition works best with a small group of people. In order to operate these small groups, our trips are priced according to the number of full-price passengers on the trip. We initially invoice you at the highest tier level price (the smallest group size we can operate). If the price drops due to an increase in group size, you will be refunded the difference.

 

SINGLE SUPPLEMENTARY:

Single room/tent supplementary is subject to extra charges for “requested” single. If you’re traveling alone and wish to share accommodations, we’ll try our best to find you a roommate. The single room or tent supplement, this is only payable if you specifically request to have a tent or a room to yourself. You will not have to pay for this option if you happen to end up with a single tent or room due to odd numbers on the trip.

MEDICAL KIT:

Beside Oxygen and mask set for emergency, we will also be carrying comprehensive medical kits. However, you should prepare you own personal medical kit.

 

EMERGENCY

In case of emergency, evacuation within Mera peak will be either by porter or by helicopter called from Kathmandu. Charges of emergency evacuation are subject to extra cost and client need to pay directly if/otherwise arranged with Company or your Insurance Company.

 

INSURANCE:

We strongly recommend you to have travel insurance. The comprehensive travel insurance should coverage for trip cancellation and interruption, travel delays, loss of baggage and travel documents, baggage delay, medical expenses and emergency helicopter evacuation.

 

SATELLITE PHONE:

Most of the expedition brings their own satellite phone for their means of communication with families, friends and sponsors. We too, carry our Tharuya Satellite phone for regular contact with office; if you do not have one then you can use our phone for making call (charges applicable as per rate)

 

ENVIRONMENT:

Garbage deposit fees are required to make with the Nepal Mountaineering Association, which is covered in our cost. We remove all garbage from HC & BC, this is then disposed at Khote or Lukla.
